Position Summary

KIELY is seeking a HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in our Career Center in Tinton Falls, NJ!

This position is responsible for working with our leaders and managers to develop and assist our team members throughout the company.  Areas of focus may include talent management, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, leave management, benefits and compliance with applicable employment laws as needed.  A strong and proven background in being an ‘HR administrative expert’ is also a plus.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Partner with business leaders and managers to ensure organizational needs are met.
  • Handle administrative tasks for onboarding and offboarding, which includes data entry into our HRIS system.
  • Manage and assist with the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, career fairs, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, and collaborating with managers to understand skills and competencies required for vacancies, to attract and retain great talent.
  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
  • Provide HR advisory service to team members that cover leave of absences, accommodation requests, and administrative paperwork processing of leave requests.
  • Assist with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Manage Workers Compensation Claim reporting, employee status, and return to work. Act as a liaison with WC Carrier.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Assist with execution and delivery of employee engagement events.
  • Prepare, maintain, and disseminate reports related to HR processes and compliance tracking.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to exercise effective judgement, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
  • Strong internal and external customer focus.
  • Ability to self-direct and prioritize projects to ensure timely completion with attention to detail.
