Position Summary

We are looking for a Fleet Dispatcher who will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of equipment for New Jersey construction operations.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Coordinate and schedule day to day dispatch operations as required by operations
  • Dispatch equipment efficiently, ensuring route efficiency to save on fuel and travel time
  • Coordinate the movement of equipment with Supervisors and Foreman
  • Communicate and coordinate with Supervisors and field team members regarding daily jobs or updates
  • Understand the inter-company rental system to ensure equipment is being tracked and input properly
  • Daily collaboration with Fleet Manager to effectively utilize capacity of fleet and equipment
  • Enter and maintain the accuracy of HCSS database
  • Schedule sub-contractors’ equipment when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies:

  • 1-3 years of dispatching experience in the construction industry preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Must have high attention to detail and consistently follow up on issues when required
  • Ability to act quickly, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Comfortable in a time sensitive, faced paced environment
  • Ability to schedule and follow through with tasks
  • Proficient in MS office products
