POSITION SUMMARY:  The Project Manager would be responsible to further assist with the growth currently underway within the organization as a provider of construction and engineering services.

  • Identify and review deliverables and the timing of these deliverables
  • Develop, review and approve the project schedule, ensuring that key milestones are identified
  • Review project scopes, designs, construction specifications
  • Develop cost estimates in response to RFP’s
  • Oversee construction performance, provide appropriate direction, and documentation of performance
  • Deliver the project at the sanctioned cost, schedule and performance criteria
  • Utilize a system of high quality contract administration with suitable checks and balances
  • Monitor contractor and supplier performance and act quickly on underperformance
  • Ensure the application of relevant Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies on all project activities
  • Promote a strong safety culture on project and functional teams, and work undertaken by contractors and suppliers
  • Assist in managing project activities from project conception through planning, design, construction, start-up, commissioning and transfer to operations
  • Ensure the safe and successful completion of projects in compliance with regulations and within established standards and other project management parameters
  • Perform operational work to support our clients operational needs.
  • Review CAD model prepared by Drafter/Designer
  • Redline schematics or drawings
  • Discuss key engineering issues and considerations relative to projects
  • Explains industry and organizational best engineering practices and their rationale
  • Describes engineering experience regarding relationships, inter-dependencies and integration
  • Understands and implements client specifications on all projects.

Competencies

  • Knowledge of oil and natural gas midstream industry
  • Background in large scale capital expansion projects
  • Understanding of oil and gas expansion projects from feasibility concept, design, construction, startup, commissioning and transfer to operations
  • Problem Solving/Analysis
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with strong organization and communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge
  • High degree of initiative and independent judgment
  • Effective utilization of Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of CAD program capabilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and limited job definition to complete assigned tasks.
